"Helpless Estate" was the pseudonym chosen for my worship team's side projects. We were blessed with the opportunity to record two albums, When We Rise, a collection of re-arranged hymnody, and Rescue, which also included new hymn arrangements, as well as original material. Combined, the two projects raised over $50,000, and 100% of the money raised was pumped back into the church’s ministry partners. When We Rise rebuilt an orphanage in Madagascar that was destroyed by a catastrophic storm. Rescue benefited the ongoing efforts of the Samaritan Village and Florida Abolitionists which are both fighting modern-day slavery and sex trafficking. The single below, Declaration, was written and arranged using the lyrics of recently imprisoned Presbyterian pastor, Andrew Brunson. The lyrics are his, written from his jail cell, and the track was released in 2018 to raise awareness for his situation.
